The Stop Smoking Treatment
Several days prior to treatment you are required to
- Start drinking at least 2 litres of water (preferably filtered) a day.
- Reduce your coffee and caffeinated intake to a minimum, stop completely two days before the treatment.
- Start taking 2000mg of Vitamin C and/or a Multivitamin/mineral tablet daily.
- Avoid drinking alcohol for at least three days before the treatment.
On the day of treatment you are required to
- Avoid tea, coffee or caffeinated drinks and chocolate. Herbal teas except green tea or peppermint are fine.
- Avoid any alcohol.
- Avoid a heavy meal just prior to the treatment but don’t come hungry.
Allow approximately 1 hour for the treatment
We also recommend you to read one of Allen Carr's books, i.e. "The easy way to stop smoking", to help with the psychological aspect of the stop smoking process.
After the treatment
There is usually a dramatic reduction in your craving for cigarettes within the first 24 hours as the nicotine and the nicotine signal is eliminated from your body and your cell memory returns to that of a non-smoker. 24 hours after treatment most people do not physically crave a cigarette or have withdrawal symptoms.
Be prepared to adhere to the follow up instructions you will be given i.e.;
continue taking the vitamins and drinking lots of water to help with the
detoxification process that will take place in the next couple of weeks, take
the Bicom drops we give you etc.
Do not take aspirin and other painkillers or anti-inflammatories, unless
specifically prescribed by a medical practitioner.
Contact us if you’re having difficulties or are struggling with any aspects of the follow up instructions or effects of the treatment.
